Are you an experienced and solution-oriented production engineer looking to work in a technology-driven role in an advanced industrial environment? At Jefferson Wells, we are currently seeking a production engineer for a consulting assignment at SAAB in Linköping. In this role, you will be a central part of Production Engineering & Support within Special Mission & Regional Aircraft, where you will work with production preparation, flow development, and manufacturability. Assignment duration: 6 months, with a very good possibility of extension or employment with the client

About the job

As a production engineer, you will work in a varied and technology-intensive daily environment where you contribute both operationally and strategically to develop and secure efficient production flows. You will support the operations in the hangar, prepare and review production documentation, and actively work to improve the manufacturability of both new and existing products. The role suits you if you thrive in an environment where structure, flexibility, and problem-solving are important parts of the workday.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and reviewing production documentation for hangar operations
  • Supporting and developing preparation documentation
  • Analyzing and enabling manufacturability of new products and tools
  • Developing new and existing production flows
  • Performing production and control preparation for new and existing products
  • Working with the preparation of articles in IFS Sherpa

The candidate we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is curious, engaged, and self-driven, with a good ability to plan and structure their work. You thrive in a role where you can combine technical knowledge with analysis, problem-solving, and development of work methods. To succeed in this role, you are communicative, relationship-building, and have the courage to question existing processes to drive improvement.

For this role, we expect you to have:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in production engineering or a related field
  • Good knowledge and experience in production engineering
  • Experience with modern production philosophies and the ability to translate theory into practice
  • Knowledge of reading technical drawings
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Experience with IFS Sherpa or similar ERP systems
  • Familiarity with working with LEAN as a tool
  • High school diploma or post-secondary education (university/YH) in a relevant field

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in project form

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
